The Dark Knight Rises

The Dark Knight Rises is a 2012 superhero film directed by Christopher Nolan, who co-wrote the screenplay with his brother Jonathan Nolan and the story with David S. Goyer. Based on the DC Comics character Batman, the film is the third installment in Nolan's Batman film series, and is a sequel to Batman Begins (2005) and The Dark Knight (2008). The Dark Knight Rises is intended to be the conclusion of the series. Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman and Morgan Freeman reprise their roles from Batman Begins and The Dark Knight. The film takes place eight years after the events of The Dark Knight and introduces the characters of Selina Kyle and Bane—portrayed by Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy, respectively.[2] Nolan was initially hesitant about returning to the series for a second time, but agreed to come back after developing a story with his brother Jonathan and David S. Goyer that he felt would conclude the series on a satisfactory note. Filming took place in various locations, including locations in Jodhpur, London, Nottingham, Glasgow, Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, and Pittsburgh. Nolan utilized IMAX cameras for much of the filming to optimize the quality of the picture. As with The Dark Knight, viral marketing campaigns began early during production to help promote the upcoming film. When filming concluded, Warner Bros. refocused its campaign; developing promotional websites, releasing the first six minutes of the film and theatrical trailers, and sending random pieces of information regarding the film's plot to various companies.

Brad Pitt has reportedly been named the first male face of Chanel’s signature No.5 fragrance. The Hollywood actor is said to have signed up to star in a commercial for the scent, according to US website E! Online. The Chanel No. 5 advertisement is set to be released overseas later this year. It is understood Brad will receive a generous pay check of seven figures for the endorsement of the women’s perfume. While representatives for Brad and Chanel are yet to comment on the project, a source revealed the actor will begin filming the first advertisement in London this week. The 48-year-old hunk and new fiancée Angelina Jolie recently bought a new house in Richmond, south west London, so he will be in the capital for the campaign. Brad follows in the footsteps of fellow Hollywood star Nicole Kidman - who became the face of the scent in 2003 in a series of alluring advertisement campaigns. Catherine Deneuve, Lauren Hutton, Estella Warren and Ali MacGraw have also represented the women's scent.

Avenger

If you saw "Marvel's The Avengers" this weekend and stayed to watch the credits, you got to see an extra scene after the main titles ended. Marvel Studios has a tradition of planting bonus scenes at the very end of their movie as a treat for fans, starting with Samuel L. Jackson's first appearance as Nick Fury at the end of "Iron Man." But the scenes at the end of the previous movies have all been about setting up "The Avengers." Now that the team-up finally happened, fans wondered what they would tease at the end of it. The answer, obviously, was "The Avengers 2." The mid-credits scene seems to have revealed who the villain of the next installment would be. And for diehard fans of the comic books, the revelation was both shocking and highly satisfying (if the person sitting next to you at the theater audibly gasped, they obviously were true fans). But if you aren't versed in Marvel lore, you might have been left scratching your head.

Alcatraz is an American television series starring Sam Neill, Sarah Jones and Jorge Garcia airing on Fox.

When San Francisco Police Department Det. Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) is assigned to a grisly homicide case, a fingerprint leads her to Jack Sylvane (Jeffrey Pierce), a former Alcatraz Island prisoner who died decades ago. Given her family history— both her grandfather and surrogate uncle, Ray Archer (Robert Forster), were guards at the prison —Madsen's interest is immediately piqued, and once an enigmatic, knows-everything-but-tells-nothing government agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill) tries to impede her investigation, she is doggedly committed.
Madsen turns to Alcatraz expert and comic book enthusiast Dr. Diego "Doc" Soto (Jorge Garcia) to piece together the inexplicable sequence of events. The twosome discovers that Sylvane is not only alive, but he is loose on the streets of San Francisco, leaving bodies in his wake. And strangely, he has not aged a day since he was in Alcatraz, when the prison was ruled by the iron-fisted Warden Edwin James (Jonny Coyne) and the merciless Associate Warden E.B. Tiller (Jason Butler Harner).
Madsen and Doc reluctantly team with Agent Hauser and his technician, Lucy Banerjee (Parminder Nagra), to stop Sylvane's vengeful killing spree. By delving into Alcatraz history, government cover-ups and Rebecca's own heritage, the team will ultimately discover that Sylvane is only a small part of a much larger, more sinister present-day threat. For while he may be the first, it quickly becomes clear that Sylvane will not be the last prisoner to reappear from Alcatraz.
Through the course of the investigation, Madsen and Soto will learn that the government has been upgrading the prison since its closing for a reopening to house America's darkest criminals once more. In the process, Madsen will be forced to see everything she thought she knew about her family's past shattered, all while fighting to keep the country safe from the country's most dangerous criminals, locking them behind "The Rock's" bars once more.
