Manchester City finally got Lescott. But 24 millions pound ?
Everton have confirmed they have agreed a fee with Manchester City for the sale of defender Joleon Lescott.
Having rejected two previous offers - the first about £18m - Everton are reported to have accepted £24m from City for Lescott.
Lescott will now meet with Manchester City and will sign subject to him successfully negotiating personal terms and passing a medical.
Toffees boss David Moyes was unhappy that the Eastlands club, bankrolled by Abu Dhabi's multi-maire Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan, were not prepared to pay what he thought was the going rate from the outset. But what was he thinking ? Getting 24 millions from Lescott is already big sum, he should be smiling instead of complaining. Is almost half of what KaKa is worth, and a quarter of what C.Ronaldo is worth.
David Moyes shouldn't even compare Lescott with C.Ronaldo. Because C.Ronaldo can bring in more money to the club just by selling his Jersey & Soccer boots.
