Taipei - Five years after their romance ended, singers Jay Chou and Jolin Tsai were caught on what the media said was a date at a Taipei bowling alley.
As a cover, the couple each took along a group of friends, said Apple Daily Taiwan. They also sat in adjoining seats and their friends helped to pass messages between them, the newspaper added.
When its reporters came on the scene, Chou, who was wearing a mask, left in a huff with his party, the newspaper said, while Tsai hid behind her friends.
Witnesses told Apple that they had seen the two bowling.
The paper said that if they have reconciled, that would be a perfect birthday gift for Chou, who turns 31 today.
Chou and Tsai famously split up in 2005 after he was photographed in Tokyo with TV host Patty Hou, who recently became engaged to Citigroup executive Ken Huang.
